The international adventure continues for Lockie Bloxsom and after an impressive US campaign, the young Australian has wasted no time making his presence felt in Japan.
Fresh from competing in Porsche Carrera Cup North America at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Lockie has headed straight to Japan and the legendary Fuji Speedway, where his first taste of the circuit has already produced an eye-catching result.

In his opening running at Fuji, Lockie put himself inside the top three on the timesheets — an impressive start at a circuit he is still learning and against drivers with considerably more local experience.

It continues an exciting international run for the young Porsche driver, and one that High Performance Travel has been following particularly closely.
America, Japan… then Bathurst
Only days ago, Lockie was racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
His US campaign demonstrated that he could quickly adapt to unfamiliar circuits and competition. In the second Indianapolis race, he finished seventh in a highly competitive field, having been involved in an incident with Cole Kleck that resulted in a post-race penalty for Kleck.
Now it’s another country, another circuit and another challenge.
Fuji Speedway.
Sitting beneath Mount Fuji, the Japanese circuit is one of the great names in international motorsport, famous for its enormous main straight and the technical final sector that places a premium on getting the car — and the driver — absolutely right.
And Lockie’s first crack at it has been seriously encouraging.
Getting himself amongst the top three straight out of the box is another indication of just how quickly he is adapting as his international Porsche experience grows.
Now Japan adds another international circuit and another completely different racing environment to that experience.
The official Porsche Carrera Cup Japan standings already list Lachlan Bloxsom in the Pro category, with 26 championship points from his appearances.
For a young driver, the value goes well beyond the result. Different circuits, different conditions and different competitors all add to the experience — and every lap contributes to the driver that eventually comes home.
And that’s where this story gets particularly interesting for us.
Next stop: The Mountain
After Japan, there’s a place much closer to home waiting for Lockie.
Mount Panorama.
Lockie is due at Bathurst in October, where he’ll spend time with the High Performance Travel 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 tour group.
And our travellers aren’t simply going to see him from the other side of the fence.
Lockie will take the HPT group behind the scenes of the Porsche Carrera Cup operation, giving them an insight into the cars, engineering, data and preparation involved in competing at this level.
Then comes something even better.
Our group will join Lockie for a commentated lap of Mount Panorama, hearing directly from a racing driver as he talks through the circuit, from Hell Corner and Mountain Straight to Skyline, the Esses and Conrod.
For HPT guests, that’s going to make following his international journey a little more special.
The driver they’re about to meet at Bathurst is currently on the other side of the world, learning Fuji Speedway and putting himself amongst the fastest cars on track.
One hell of a journey
Indianapolis.
Fuji.
Bathurst..!
Good luck in Japan, Lockie. We’ll see you at Bathurst.
