A new 5% Tourism Services Tax (TST) is being introduced in Fiji from 1 September 2026, for an initial 12-month period. The tax will apply to relevant tourism services, including accommodation, tour and cruise operators and may affect clients travelling to Fiji from this date. Existing bookings may also be subject to the tax, depending on the supplier and booking arrangements. Suppliers are still confirming how the tax will be applied and collected.

Clients may be required to pay the tax directly to the service provider in destination. When quoting or reviewing Fiji bookings for travel from 1 September 2026, we will check with every relevant supplier regarding how the TST will be applied and whether any additional payment will be required with your booking.

We’ll share further updates as more information becomes available.
