Boxing Day at the ‘G, where ninety thousand people fall for one small red ball

The MCG on 26 December, a summer tradition unlike anything else, and your seat sorted long before the crowds arrive.

There are sporting occasions, and then there is Boxing Day at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where roughly ninety thousand people file in the day after Christmas to watch a game that unfolds, gloriously, over five whole days.

It is one of the great days out in world sport, part cricket, part carnival, part very large picnic. The ground is enormous, the atmosphere is warm, and there is genuinely nothing like the roar when a wicket falls just before lunch.

We handle the seats, the beds, the transfers and the timing, so all you bring is a hat and an opinion about the batting order. Come for Boxing Day, stay for the city over the new year, and let us line the whole thing up.

Give us your dates and we will sort it. The hardest decision you will make is which session to have the pie in.

Like the sound of it?This one's ready when you are.
